1 Definitions

"Rishtey", "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Rishtey Matrimony, operated under applicable Indian laws. "Member" or "User" refers to any individual who registers a profile on this Platform. "Platform" refers to the website, its subpages, services, and digital tools operated under the Rishtey Matrimony brand. "Profile" refers to the matrimonial listing created and published by a Member on the Platform.

2 Eligibility

To register and use this Platform, you must satisfy all of the following conditions:

• You are a female of at least 18 years of age, or a male of at least 21 years of age, as prescribed under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 (India).
• You are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
• You are not already married under any applicable personal law, unless your profile status clearly states "Divorced", "Widowed", or "Awaiting Divorce".
• You are registering with a bona fide intention of entering into matrimony and not for any casual dating, companionship, commercial solicitation, or fraudulent purpose.
• You are a citizen or resident of India or a person of Indian origin residing abroad.

3 Purpose & Intended Use

Rishtey is a matrimonial matchmaking facilitation platform exclusively for individuals seeking lawful matrimonial alliances. This Platform is strictly NOT a dating website, a social networking site, a marriage bureau, or an escort/companionship service.

• Use of the Platform is limited to personal, non-commercial matrimonial purposes only.
• The exchange of profiles through this Platform does not constitute a matrimonial offer, recommendation, or guarantee by Rishtey.
• Members must not use this Platform to solicit, advertise, or promote any business, product, or service.
• Rishtey does not act as a matchmaker, marriage broker, or marriage bureau and does not guarantee a successful match.

4 Registration & Account Responsibility

• Each individual may maintain only one active profile on the Platform.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated at all times.
• Profiles created on behalf of another person (e.g., by a parent or guardian) must clearly indicate this in the profile and must be done with the full knowledge and consent of the person being registered.
• Rishtey reserves the right to verify the identity, age, marital status, or any other information provided by any Member at any time.

5 Profile Content & Accuracy

Members are solely and entirely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and integrity of all information submitted in their profiles, including photographs, personal details, family background, and partner preferences.

• All content submitted must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading.
• Photographs must be recent, clearly display the Member's face, and must not include any third party without their explicit consent.
• Members must not post obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful content.
• Rishtey does not authenticate, verify, screen, or endorse any profile content. Members are advised to exercise independent due diligence before proceeding with any matrimonial alliance.
• Rishtey reserves the right to remove, edit, or reject any content at its sole discretion, without prior notice and without liability.

6 Prohibited Activities

Members are strictly prohibited from the following activities on or through this Platform:

• Impersonating any person or entity, or providing false identity or information.
• Harassing, threatening, stalking, abusing, or defaming any other Member or third party.
• Soliciting money, gifts, financial assistance, or personal favours from other Members.
• Transmitting unsolicited commercial messages (spam) or chain messages.
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, or any other Member's account.
• Using any automated tools, bots, or scrapers to collect data from the Platform.
• Publishing content that is sexually explicit, obscene, or offensive in nature.
• Engaging in any activity that violates any applicable Indian law, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Indian Penal Code, 1860, or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

7 Privacy & Data Protection

• By registering, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Your personal contact details (phone number and email) will not be published publicly on the Platform without your explicit consent.
• Rishtey will not sell your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
• Your data may be shared with law enforcement agencies if required under applicable Indian law or by a valid court order.
• Profile information may be used to suggest compatible matches and for internal analytics to improve the Platform's services.
• Members may request deletion of their data by contacting Rishtey at inforishtey@yahoo.in.

8 Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Rishtey Matrimony provides this Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

• Rishtey is not responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of any profile or information submitted by Members.
• Rishtey shall not be liable for any personal, financial, physical, emotional, or other loss or damage suffered by any Member or third party arising out of or in connection with any matrimonial alliance, interaction, or meeting facilitated through this Platform.
• Members are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, background checks, and verification of any potential match before proceeding with any matrimonial alliance.
• Rishtey strongly advises Members to meet potential matches in public places and to inform family members of any meetings arranged through the Platform.
• Rishtey shall not be responsible for any disruption, downtime, or failure of the Platform due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

9 Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rishtey, its owners, operators, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Platform.

10 Membership Fees & Refund Policy

• Basic profile registration on Rishtey is provided free of charge.
• Any premium services or paid features, if introduced, will be clearly disclosed before purchase.
• All payments made for premium services, once processed, are non-refundable unless Rishtey is unable to provide the subscribed service due to a technical failure or error on its part.
• Termination or suspension of a Member's account for violation of these Terms shall not entitle the Member to any refund.

11 Termination & Suspension

• Rishtey reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, deactivate, or permanently terminate any Member's account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any conduct that Rishtey considers harmful to the Platform, its Members, or its reputation.
• Members may request deactivation of their profile at any time by contacting Rishtey at inforishtey@yahoo.in or calling 9149807414.
• Upon termination, the Member's right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. Rishtey may retain anonymised data for analytics purposes as permitted by law.

12 Intellectual Property

All content on this Platform, including but not limited to its design, layout, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the intellectual property of Rishtey Matrimony and is protected under applicable Indian copyright and intellectual property laws. No part of this Platform may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without the express written permission of Rishtey.

13 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
• Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India.
• Before initiating legal proceedings, Members agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through direct communication with Rishtey's Grievance Officer (see Clause 14).

14 Grievance Redressal Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Rishtey has designated a Grievance Officer to address complaints and concerns raised by Members:

Rishtey reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Members are advised to review these Terms periodically.
